Jimmie T. Clark

HINTON — Jimmie T. Clark, 88, of Hinton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012.

Arrangements are pending completion at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 1901 S. Kanawha St., Beckley.

Mary Louise Clay Johnson

OAK HILL — Mary Louise Clay Johnson, 71, of Oak Hill, died Friday, September 21, 2012, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV.

Born November 3, 1940, at Surveyor, WV, she was the daughter of the late Pierce and Elsie Clay.

She was a homemaker, a member of Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene and a former member of the Goldeneers of the Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Anita Catherine Johnson Small, two brothers, Eulice and Harry Clay, and one sister, Edith Shrewsbury.

Survivors include her husband Johnny N. Johnson of Oak Hill, one son, Michael Dale Johnson and wife Joann of Oak Hill, two grandchildren: Stacy Beth Small of Maple Fork and Melissa Johnson Shirley and husband Billy of Beckley; three great-grandchildren: Aubrey Catherine Smallwood and Hadley Grace of Maple Fork, and due in November – Max Shirley soon to be of Beckley. And two sisters, Hazeltine Daniel and Ruth Kincaid both of Iaeger, WV, along with 19 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene with the Reverends Jerry Bush and David Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Friends may call on Monday, September 24, from 6 til 8 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV.

Frances Evelyn Cox Williams Johnston

OAK HILL — Frances Evelyn Cox Williams Johnston, 76, of Oak Hill died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012.

Mabel Sarver Lacy

DUNBAR — Mabel Sarver Lacy, 82, of Dunbar, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Dunbar First Baptist Church. Mabel was a master gardener and was an avid golfer. She also served as a Hospice volunteer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lacy.

Surviving are her sons, James Lacy of Charleston, Ken Lacy and Vicki Smith of Man and Jeff Lacy and wife, Ann, of Nicholasville, KY; daughter, Barbara Laughery and her husband, Phillip, of St. Albans; sisters, Kathleen Freeman of Salem, VA, and Kay Huff of Elliston, VA. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Mark Jarrell officiating. Burial will be at noon Wednesday at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton. Friends may call at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, two hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Jeffery Robinette

Jeffery Robinette, 37, of Beckley died Sept. 21, 2012.

Gerald Jackson Rose Sr.

CAMP CREEK — Gerald Jackson Rose Sr., 78, of 168 Lancelot Lane in Camp Creek died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012.

Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton is serving the Rose family.

Evangelist Florence Ann Smith

Evangelist Florence Ann Smith, 65, of Beckley, is in the Glory of Eternal Life through Our Lord Jesus, on the 19th day of September 2012.

Born the 6th day of September 1946, she was the daughter of the late Deacon Tom Wiley and Adeline Wiley.

Florence attended the Two-Room School of Harper Heights, graduated at the age of sixteen from the Old Stratton High School and attended Bluefield State College for three and a half years.

Florence was an accomplished court reporter, legal secretary and received her Ministerial Ordination at the Heart of God Ministries in her calling of Evangelism.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Carlos; a blended family of four sons; six grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins; a very special God-daughter; the Ministry of Heart of God Ministries and not to be forgotten the women of Mary Kay Cosmetics; Raleigh General PBX and HIM Departments.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 So. Kanawha St., Beckley, with Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
