Ruby L. Jones

FAYETTEVILLE — Ruby Lilly Jones, 76, of Brooklyn, died on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 after a short illness.  

She was born in Prince on October 31, 1935, the daughter of the late Andrew D. Coffman and Nora Tolley.

The Lord called his loving angel home; she had dedicated her life to her Lord and attended church at Christ Fellowship Church on Nickleville Road in Fayetteville. She attended Fayetteville High School and has a BSL degree from Holmes Bible College in South Carolina.  

Ruby loved children and worked with them in churches and Vacation Bible Schools. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Ernie Daris Jones.  They made their home and life together in Brooklyn. Also left to cherish many wonderful memories include her son, Ernie D. Jones Jr. and wife, Ora Jean of Brooklyn; daughter-in-law, Dell Edith Jones of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandsons, Shaun Blake of Midway and James Snead and wife, Ginny of Mt. Hope; and four great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Bethany Snead, Logan and Brianna Blake; and a host of special family members and friends she cherished dear to her heart.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Allen Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2012 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Rev. Robert Morey officiating. She will be laid to rest at Cunard Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home on Friday.

Dennis James Keffer Sr.

LIVELY — Dennis James Keffer Sr., 89, of Lively, died on Thursday, October 18, 2012.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope, with Rev. Doug Holley officiating. Burial will be in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope.
