Eunice Virginia Hinchee

CORINNE — Eunice Virginia Hinchee, 90, entered Heaven’s Shore on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012.

Born April 24, 1922, in Pearisburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late Jesse Franklin and Virginia Hale Atwood.

Mrs. Hinchee lived most of her life in Corinne, where she was a loving devoted mother to her four children: sons, Harvey Anthony (deceased), of Woodbridge, Va. and Luther Allen and wife, Linda, of Salem, Va.; daughters, Darlene Elizabeth Wilson and husband,  Richard, of Roanoke, Va. and Lynette Virginia Watchempino and husband, Arnie, of El Dorado Hills, Calif.

Our mother was quite the athlete being a natural swimmer. A beautiful alto voice gave her the opportunity to sing in a quartet in the local churches and radio stations for many years.

She was preceded in death by her children’s father, Luther William Hinchee; son, Harvey Anthony; baby grandson, Seth James Watchempino; brothers, Jesse Mullins, John, Henry, Claude, Robert, Harvey and Alvin Atwood; sisters, Nannie Vipperman, Roxie Hale, Allie Rinehart and Kathleen Cline.

She is survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her wonderful caregivers at Princeton Health Care Center and Hospice Compassus. May God bless every one of them.

Private graveside services (at her request) will be conducted Friday, Oct. 19, 2012.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Second Wind Dreams at the Princeton Healthcare Center.
