Bobby Edward Hatcher

COMFORT — Bobby Edward Hatcher, 45, of Comfort, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014.

Graveside rites and burial will be held 3 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Birchfield Cemetery at Ellison Ridge, West Virginia.

Arrangements are by Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 729 Flat Top Road, Shady Spring.

Quentin ‘Buddy’ D. Holt

GREEN SULPHUR SPRINGS — Quentin “Buddy” D. Holt, 79, Green Sulphur Springs, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014, following a short illness.

Born January 17, 1934, in Woodbury, he was the son of the late Edward and Hazel McVey Holt.

Buddy was the owner of a sawmill at one time and owned the General Store in Green Sulphur Springs. He also worked road construction for a time. He was an outdoorsman who loved gardening, fishing and hunting. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife Ethel Legg Holt; several grandchildren; two siblings and a host of friends.

As he requested, the body was cremated and there will be no service at this time.

Unona Jessie

MATEWAN — Unona Jessie, 50, died Jan. 4, 2014.

Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at The Church of God, Sara Ann, with the Revs. Gary Starr and Dave Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilman Family Cemetery.

Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Ricardo Edward ‘Ricky’ Lewis

Ricardo Edward “Ricky” Lewis, 57, of Beckley, died Saturday, January 4, 2014.

Born April 16, 1956 in Beckley, he was the son of the late John and Marva Harris Lewis.

He was employed by Sabine Mine Co., Appalachian Hospital and Pepperidge Farm Company and was a member of Heart of God Ministries, Beckley.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish precious memories are his loving wife, Evangelist Betty Williams Persinger Lewis, two step children, Robert Jones of Beckley and Tamara (Jason) Walker of Creedmoor, N.C.; six grandchildren, Amiya, Jason, and Jasmine Walker, Jalen and Sumer Alexander, Kayla Jones; four brothers, Michael Lewis, Steve (Casandra) Lewis and Ralph Lewis, all of Beckley; Sterling Lewis of Charleston, W.Va.; two sisters, Evangelist Tonya Lewis of Winston Salem, N.C. and Carol Lewis (Isaiah) Cain, mother-in-law, Marie Williams, three aunts, Deliah Hewitt, Lois Harris, and Verna Street, a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, and a special friend Bishop Michael Barringer.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 S. Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV with Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, W.Va.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
