Gracie E. ‘Stover’ Golden

Gracie E. “Stover” Golden, 64, born Aug. 8, 1949, died Feb. 28, 2014.

Gracie was formerly of Packsville on Coal River, and was a 1966 graduate of Marsh Fork High School.

Gracie (Stover) Golden, who went home on Feb. 28, 2014, certainly left her legacy. All the websites and genealogy research, all the people she helped with their own ancestry. That is a great part of what she left behind.

She also left behind family and friends who loved her dearly. She left lots of memories of Packsville and Coal River, W.Va., where she grew up and of Wichita, Kan., where she spent the last period of her life.

This was my little sister. We played. We fought. Most of all, we loved one another and our family. We later loved our children and grandchildren and all the other nuts that fell out of the family tree.

We did our best living our lives. We must say goodbye for now. See you later Gracie. I sure do love you.

Big brother, Herbie.
