Raymond ‘Bub’ C. Hungate II
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Raymond “Bub” C. Hungate II, 49, of Woodbridge, Va., passed away Monday, September 17, 2012.
Born September 25, 1962, he was the son of Raymond “Red” Hungate and Marketa “Kitty” Hornsby Hungate.
Raymond loved NASCAR racing. He had season tickets for all the races. Raymond was a 1980 graduate of Independence High School. He also proudly served with the U.S. Army.
Raymond is preceded in death by his nephew Chris Wills and brother-in-law, Bob Brown.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Raymond “Red” Hungate and Marketa “Kitty” Hungate of Ghent; sisters, Judy Wills and husband Vaughn of Princewick, Miranda Brown of Ghent; niece, Erica Cunningham of Ghent and nephew, Jeremy Cunningham; also numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Thomas ‘Mike’ McQuain
HURRICANE — Thomas “Mike” McQuain, 69, of Hurricane, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, following a short illness.
Born Aug. 9, 1943, at Newton, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles R. McQuain and Virginia R. Halsey McQuain Hall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Faye Huffman McQuain on Sept. 18, 2011; his step father, George Hall; four sisters, Haley Cordial, Shirley McQuain, Judy Hall and Ethel McQuain; four brothers, Pat McQuain, Earl McQuain, Kenny McQuain, and Guy McQuain.
Mike was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and a member of Midland Trail Masonic Lodge No. 166 A.F. and A.M. He was retired from CSX Railroad as a supervisor of train operations.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra Canfield and husband, Carl of Charmco, Shelly Adkins and husband, Allen of Beckley, and Kelly Williams and husband, Randy of Huntington; two sons, Jimmy Walkup and wife, Patricia of Rainelle, and Jeffrey Walkup and wife, Tessa of Charleston, W.Va.; three sisters, Betty Dillon of Baltimore, Md., Gail Hanshew of Green Sulphur Springs, and Charlotte Finigan of Flemington, N.J.; three brothers, Roscoe McQuain of Rainelle, George Hall of Rainelle, and Paul Hall of McRoss, W.Va.; 14 grandchildren, Pappy’s Little Buddy, Paydan, Chastity, Paxton, Courtney, Lindsay, Josh, Eli, Rachel, Megan, Brittany, Taylor, Jeffrey II, Kendra, and Adrianna; 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel of Rainelle, with the Rev. Eddie Ray Goddard officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
