Mrs. Hilda Hoston, of Beckley, died Sunday, September 16,2012.
Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Central Baptist Church, Brooks and G. Street, Beckley. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Annabel L. Hughes
Annabel L. Hughes, 91, of Maxwelton, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center
Born March 21, 1921, at Vago, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Lee and Ada Virginia Boone Yates.
Upon graduation, Annabel left and helped other “Rosies The Riveter,” making gas masks for the soldiers during World War II at the Goodyear Plant in Akron, Ohio. She retired as correctional officer from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. After her retirement she also worked at the Greenbrier Manor. She was also a charter member of the “Blue Haired Women of Green Lane Beauty Salon in Lewisburg. Annabel was a member of the Emmanuel Open Bible Church, formerly Neal Chapel and was a very caring mother and grandmother with interest in gardening and farming. Annabel always found good in everyone she knew.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Jesse Ray Hughes; daughter, Wanda June Hughes; sisters, Beatrice and Ruth; brother Alex “Eck” Yates and a grandson James Perry.
Surviving include daughter, Donna Huffman of Maxwelton; sons, Mitchell (Kathryn) Hughes of Frankford and Mark (Mickie) Hughes of Maxwelton; grandchildren, Scott (Angel) Huffman, Legend Huffman and Katie Hughes, sisters, Lula Collins, Phyllis Dotson and Betty Hughes all of Frankford.
Services will be noon on Friday, September, 21, 2012, at the Emmanuel Open Bible Church with Rev. Lula Collins and Rev’s Gary and Debbie Devart. Burial will follow at the Lewis Chapel Cemetery in Vago.
Friends may call on Thursday September 20, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
