Some 400 community and business leaders from West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania will meet in Wheeling this fall to discuss new economic opportunities.
The fourth Create West Virginia Conference is set for Oct. 17-19 at Oglebay Resort. Educators, legislators and other attendees will examine their economic problems, along with possible solutions.
Wheeling was chosen for this year’s gathering because it’s trying to reinvent itself. The Northern Panhandle area has lost thousands of steel and other manufacturing jobs, but it’s also acquired some high-tech companies.
