TamarackButterfly

A monarch butterfly, the state butterfly, rests on Jacob Britten’s finger as his father, Joseph, watches inside the AHA Butterfly Ranch during the West Virginia birthday celebration under way at Tamarack. Although this is the first year for the butterfly ranch, it is a popular attraction at other events around the state. The Brittens stopped at Tamarack Friday on their way to Virginia Beach from Parkersburg for vacation. The state’s 147th birthday is Sunday.
