ROUNDUP: Hylton paces 53-24 Shady Spring win

Shady Spring 53, Oak Hill 24


Morgan Hylton scored 15 points and Kaylee Dickenson added 13 points to lead Shady Spring past sectional rival Oak Hill Thursday.

Rebecca Rhudy and Heather Ratcliff added six points apiece.

Kaitlyn Goodman and Sarah Kessler scored six points apiece to lead Oak Hill.

Shady Spring (5-12) travels to Princeton tonight.

Liberty 78, Nicholas County 55


The Liberty Raiders jumped out to a 22-5 first quarter lead and rolled past Nicholas County Thursday in Glen Daniel.

Austin Lyons scorched the nets for 30 points to lead the Raiders, while sophomore stand-out Levi Cook added 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Trevor McGhee chipped in 14 points for Liberty.

Nicholas County was led by Jared Tharp with 26 points.

Liberty (8-5) travels to Oak Hill tonight.

UPPER GLADE — Brett Morris tossed in 21 points, dished out eight assists and had five steals to lead Class AA No. 6 Webster County.

Dalton Davis chipped in 10 points and Hunter Given had seven for the Highlanders.

McKinley Moore led Braxton County with 12 points.

Webster County (11-2) hosts Shady Spring tonight.
