Girls: Westside 87, Independence 28

COAL CITY — Class AA No. 1 Westside rolled up a 49-13 halftime lead to ease past host Independence and remain undefeated.

Sophomore all-stater Hope Lester led the Lady Renegades with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Megan Endicott tallied 17 points and Kristen Hash added 16.

Faith Davis dished out 10 assists for Westside.

Emily Fedukovich led the Lady Patriots with 15 points.

Westside (13-0) hosts Scott Wednesday, while Independence hosts county rival Liberty Thursday.
