ROUNDUP: Woodrow, PikeView boys take wins


Woodrow Wilson 3, Winfield 2

The Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles had 11 shots on goal, with three finding the net, to defeat Winfield 3-2 on the road Tuesday.

Brandon Chandler had an unassisted goal and then provided the assist as Jordan Wright found the back of the net for the Flying Eagles.

Corey Acord also scored on an assist from Matt Sumpter.

Winfield had goals from Austin Miller and Ronnie Beale, Both goals were assisted by Nathan Keefe.

Woodrow Wilson (3-2-2) hosts unbeaten Oak Hill Thursday.

PikeView 8, Nicholas County 2

GARDNER — Seth Wood, Hunter Klein and Isaac Van Blaricom scored two goals apiece as the PikeView Panthers rolled past Nicholas County Tuesday 8-2. Wood and Klein also tallied two assists apiece in the win.

Alex Testerman and Vaughn Campbell added one goal apiece, while Alec White chipped in two assists.

The Panthers outshot the Grizzlies 19-4.

PikeView (5-2-1) hosts Pocahontas County Saturday.
