CHARLESTON — Class AAA No. 5 Capital jumped out to a 24-0 halftime lead and went on to defeat the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles 34-0 Friday.

Kashuan Haley scored on two touchdown runs (21, 19) and Tyrell Davis had two touchdown receptions (9, 70) from Tyhree Pratt to lead the Cougars to their sixth win of the season.

Haley ran for 145 yards and Pratt threw for 243 yards.

Woodrow Wilson (3-4) starts a crucial stretch of games Friday when it travels to Princeton.

MONTGOMERY — The Class A No. 3 Valley Greyhounds scored in all four quarters to roll past Class A No. 14 Parkersburg Catholic 38-15 Friday.

Valley jumped out to a 22-0 lead on a 10-yard touchdown run by Darius Hutchinson, a fumble recovery in the endzone by Druw Bowen and a two-yard score by Dante Wilkerson.

Parkersburg Catholic roared back on a one-yard Jake Boice run and a 60-yard touchdown reception by Nick Roedersheimer from Strum Payton.

Valley put the game away in the second half holding the Crusaders scoreless, while scoring on two big runs by Raeshawn Breckenridge (46) and Keyshawn Payne (67).

Valley (7-0) travels to Richwood Friday.
