CLEAR FORK — Class AA No. 6 Wyoming East pounded out 12 hits and scored 16 runs to overwhelm county rival Westside (9-8) Wednesday in five innings.

Austin Canada hurled a two-hit shutout and had two hits, including a double to lead the Warriors. Canada reached the 100 hit mark on the evening, making him the seventh player in Wyoming East history to reach the century mark.

Christian Hedinger remained hot from the dish with a double, a triple and four RBIs and Josh Zebosky added two doubles and three RBIs for East.

Dakota Dixon and Matt Evans had one hit apiece for the Renegades.

Wyoming East (14-3) hosts Mount View today for a doubleheader.

FAYETTEVILLE — Fayetteville scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to erase a 3-2 deficit and went on to defeat Class A No. 4 Charleston Catholic Wednesday.

Dalton Dempsey had two hits and two RBIs, while pitcher Trey Phares allowed just four hits and smacked a double to lead the Pirates.

Jordan Corvelli led the Irish with two hits.

Fayetteville (13-13) will play another top five opponent Friday when they host the Valley Greyhounds.
