Explosive ground game lifts Cavaliers to 38-7 win

UPPER GLADE — Class A No. 3 Greenbrier West rolled up 415 yards on the ground and held Class AA No. 12 Webster County to 200 total yards on the way to their seventh win of the season Friday.

Tyler Parker ran for 155 yards and two scores (3, 7), while Malik Boatwright rushed for 105 yards and one score (32) to lead the Cavaliers.

Corey Cox put the game out of reach early in the fourth quarter with two quick touchdown runs (37, 26) for Greenbrier West.

Jake Thayer hit Hunter Given for a 41 yard touchdown for Webster County.

Greenbrier West (7-1) travels to Van next Friday, while Webster County (4-4) travels to Braxton County.
