OAK HILL — Haleigh Compton fired a four-hit shut-out to lead the PikeView Lady Panthers past Oak Hill Thursday.

Hope Nester and Kendra Cecil had two hits apiece for PikeView and Audrey Higgins had a single and an RBI.

PikeView hosts Greenbrier East today on senior night.

HINTON — Sam Pauley surrendered just two hits and smacked 2 triples and a single to lead the Liberty Lady Raiders past Summers County Thursday.

Kaitlyn Hannah added two hits and Andrea Roles had a triple for Liberty.

Brooke Cole and Katie Walker each had a hit for Summers County.

Liberty, Summers County and Independence open sectional play Monday at Independence.

NEW RICHMOND — Chelsea Duncan tripled and hit two singles as the Warriors rolled to the five-inning win.

Breanna Pertee added two hits and two RBIs. Winning pitcher LOarissa Davis also had two hits and drove in a run.

The Warriors begin sectional tournament play Monday at Westside.

SUMMERSVILLE —  Whitney Robinson knocked home Caitlyn Tallamy on a single in the bottom of the seventh inning to help Nicholas County defeat Greenbrier East 5-4.

Robinson went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI. Lauren Young went 2-for-3. She also picked up the win on the mound.

Lady Spartan Alexis Tincher went 2-for-4.

Nicholas County will host Riverside today.
