— Liberty 14, Mount View 1 (5 innings)

Colten Taylor raised his record to 5-0 by scattering four hits, allowing only one run and striking out seven and the Liberty bats came alive with 13 hits to roll past Mount View Wednesday.

The hitting barrage was led by Matt Bailey with two hits and five runs batted in and Dakota Boulet with two hits and three RBIs.

Dylan Keel and Seth Prince added two hits and two RBIs apiece and Meechie Brown smacked his first career home run for the Raiders. Joey Lacek smacked a double and a triple in the win.

Brian Villanueva had a hit and scored the only run for the Golden Knights.

Liberty (20-4) travels to Richwood today.

NEW RICHMOND — The Panther jumped out to a 6-0 lead and made it stand in their second win of the season over the Warriors.

Austin Cordell had a three-run homer in the 4-run first inning. Zachary Meadows hit two doubles and Hunter Moses and Jordan Hardin also had two hits.

Zack Whitten and Kevin Hedinger both doubled twice and singled for Wyoming East. The Warriors outhit PikeView 12-10, but stranded 14 runners on base.

Wyoming East (18-5) will host Summers County at 5:30 p.m. today. PikeView (17-9) hosts Princeton at 2 p.m. today.
