MEADOW BRIDGE — Meadow Bridge High School picked up a big win in front of its home fans Monday night, knocking off Class A No. 8 Fayetteville to improve to win their sixth straight and improve to 14-5.

All-stater Chandra Harrah scored 18 points to lead the Wildcats, while fellow senior Sarah Fleshman had 17. Allison Gilkerson collected a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Jessica Brown scored 21 for the Pirates, while Erica Hogan and Maddie Pritt added 11 each.

Meadow Bridge will be at Greater Beckley today at 7 p.m.

RIPLEY — Woodrow Wilson held off a game Ripley squad looking for its first win Monday, overcoming a scoreless first quarter to capture the 2-point victory.

Sarah Akers led Beckley with 15 points, the only player in double figures.

Ripley found 13 points from Sarah Williams and 11 from Chelsea Hager.

Woodrow (9-11) will host Shady Spring tonight in the final regular season home game.
