HICO — Tyler Skaggs scorched the nets for 28 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Midland Trail past Man in the second round of the Hometown Invitational Tournament Tuesday.
Jake Grimmett also had a big night with 22 points and eight rebounds for the Patriots.
Rickie Carter scored 11 points and Steven Blume scored eight for Midland Trail.
John Keffer led Man with 21 points.
Midland Trail (5-8) travels to Sherman tonight for round three of the Hometown Invitational Tournament.
