ROUNDUP: Oak Hill edges Woodrow Wilson 6-5

PREP BASEBALL

Oak Hill 6, Woodrow Wilson 5

OAK HILL — Jacob Cassidy singled in the bottom of the sixth and scored on an infield single by Derek Bloomfield to lift the Red Devils.

Bloomfield batted 3 for 4, while Cassidy was 2 for 3 and Jacob Crouch doubled, singled and drove in three runs in three at-bats.

Brandon Chandler was 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs for Woodrow. Josh Rakes was 2 for 4.

Oak Hill will host Greenbrier East at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

SETH — John Riddle reached on an error in the top of the eighth inning and scored the winning run for the Greyhounds on an infield sngle by Tyler Price.

Price finished the game with three hits and three RBIs. Hounter Bounds and Raeshawn Breckenridge were both 2 for 5 at the plate, with Brackenridge adding a home run and dtwo RBIs.

Bailey Kirk was 3 for 5 for Sherman.

Valley (13-7) plays a 5:30 p.m. game Monday at Greater Beckley Christian.

Joseph Cornett was 3 for 4 with six runs batted in as Greater Beckley Christian picked up a win over sectional foe Meadow Bridge.

Cameron Pack drove in three runs and was the winning pitcher.

Nate Davis hit a three-run homer for the Wildcats (3-13).

The Crusaders (2-13) will host Greenbrier West at 5:30 p.m. Monday, while Meadow Bridge welcomes Richwood at 5 p.m.
