Richwood 53, Fayetteville 50

RICHMOND — Richwood jumped out to a 37-19 halftime lead, but had to hold off a furious Fayetteville rally to defeat the Pirates 53-50 Friday.

Ben Weber led the Lumberjacks with 16 points, while Levi Mowery added 14 and John Bard had 13 points.

Ricky Meadows scored 18 points to lead Fayetteville and Caleb Bailes scored 11 for the Pirates.

Richwood (7-10) hosts Greenbrier West tonight and Fayetteville plays Pocahontas County at noon today in the West Virginia Hometown Invitational at Midland Trail High School.

Summers (7-10) got 11 from Matt Ryan and 10 from Dakota Thomas.

The Bobcats will visit James Monroe on Monday.
