HICO — Cody McClung buried four 3-point baskets and finished with 24 points to lead the Grizzlies and Jared Tharp added 18 points.

Rickie Carter and Seth Crosier led the Patriots with 13 points apiece. Carter also had 10 rebounds for Trail.

Nicholas County (12-7) travels to Greenbrier East today and Midland Trail hosts Sherman today at 3 p.m. in the West Virginia Hometown Invitational Tournament.

Victory Baptist Academy outscored Mountain State Christian Academy 40-21 in the second half, to grab a 74-49 win and advance to today’s West Virginia Christian Athletic Association championship game.

Chase Cook poured in 25 points to lead the Saints and Jared Richmond added 20 points.

Daniel Cannon chipped in 10 points and Nathan Richmond scored nine for Victory Baptist.

Austin Crude scored 18 and Jeremiah Crude scored 13 to lead Mountain State Christian Academy.

Victory Baptist Academy (14-3) plays Pipestem Christian for the championship today at 3:30 p.m. at Appalachian Bible College.

SUMMERSVILLE — Javonne Staunton-Bailey scored a game-high 23 points and Elisha Kidd added 22 points to lead Greater Beckley Christian past Cross Lanes Christian Friday in the West Virginia Christian Athletic Tournament.

Freshman Isaiah Francis added 11 points for the Crusaders.

Brock Norman scored 19 points for Cross Lanes Christian.

Greater Beckley Christian (14-4) tries to defend its WV CAT championship today when they battle Teays Valley Christian at 5:30 for the 2013-14 WV CAT championship.
