ROUNDUP: Logan stuns Spartans 73-69

Logan 73, Greenbrier East 69


Acord scored 30 points to lead Logan to an upset win over Class AAA No. 6 Greenbrier East Friday at the Logan Fieldhouse.

Braxton Goff added 15 points, Brynden Street had 14 and Zak Miller added 12 for the Wildcats.

Rondale Watson led the Spartans with 33 points, Ty Walker added 10 points and Obi Romeo grabbed 10 boards for East.

Greenbrier East (14-5) hosts Nicholas County tonight.

CLEAR FORK — Justin Cogar scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Westside. Will Fox added 12 points and 10 assists and Jordan Browning added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Corey Bowles added 19 points for the Renegades including five 3-point buckets.

Trevor McGhee led the Raiders with 11 points.

Westside (15-5) travels to Beckley Monday for a clash with Class AAA No. 4 Woodrow Wilson.

Liberty (10-10)

WELCH — Senior sharpshooter Taron Ayers  paced the Class AA No. 4 Warriors with 18 points and seven assists in just over two quarters of play. Christian Hedinger added 13 points while Michael Hayworth scored 12.

Mount View’s Marlon Marrs scored nine points, while Rashawn Brooks scored eight.

Wyoming East will take on Class AAA rival Oak Hill today at 12:30 p.m. in New Richmond.
