Roundup: Tigers remain unbeaten

Shady Spring 4, Bluefield 0


Carly Killmer had two goals in the Tigers' shutout of Bluefield Thursday. Lindsey Thompson and Amber Summers had the other goals.

Thompson had two assists.

Ashley Stalnaker had two saves in recording the shutout.

Shady Spring (4-0) is at Oak Hill Tuesday night.



PikeView 3, Nicholas County 0

PRINCETON — Laura Hill, Samantha Wood, and Mariah Farley scored all three goals in the first half as PikeView remained undefeated in the shutout. Farley assisted once and Amanda Presley had one save.

PikeView (5-0) visits Herbert Hoover at 2 p.m. Saturday.



BOYS PREP SOCCER

Shady Spring 5, Independence 1


Josh Richmond pulled a hat trick as Shady Spring won its third straight game of the season.

Todd Williams and Cameron Kilmer added a goal apiece, while Williams and Nick Bartusiack dished out assists.

Isaac Cales scored the goal for the Patriots.

Johnathan Beckett saved three times for the Tigers

Shady Spring (3-0) visits Herbert Hoover at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Independence (0-2) hosts James Monroe at 6 p.m. Monday at the YMCA Youth Sports Complex.

LaShawn Shelton scored three touchdowns as the Roadrunners got the shutout win.

Josh Creed ran back a punt and a kickoff and scored a two-point conversion.

Dylan Foster added a touchdown run.

Ted Stover, Marcus Mickey, Brandon Hansford, and Anthony Boothe all scored two-point conversions.

Park Middle School visits Independence at 6 p.m. Wednesday.



Independence 16, Meadow Bridge 6

Ramon Williams carried the ball 12 times for 114 yards, including 51 and 58-yard touchdown runs,  and added a two-point conversion rush for Independence.

Ryan Bransetter threw a touchdown pass to Brandon Treadway, while Cody Clifton and Treadway both had an interception.

Ryan Church scored a one-yard touchdown for Meadow Bridge.

Independence (1-0) hosts Park at 6 p.m. Wednesday.



Oceana Middle 42, Sandy River 16

Justin Cooper had 140 yards rushing, including two touchdowns, as Oceana took the win.

Derek Hager added a 50-yard touchdown reception, while Mike Mullen scored a 60-yard touchdown and an extra point. Larry Cook ran for a five-yard touchdown and John Morgan had a 22-yard run for a score.

Oceana Middle School plays Mount View at 5 p.m. Wednesday.



Trap Hill 42, Collins 14

Tre-Shawn McDowell scored a 39-yard touchdown as Trap Hill took the win.

Hunter Fraley ran a 70-yard kickoff return, while Jordan Atkins added a 60-yard run touchdown.

Matt Klucarich had a 50-yard interception for a touchdown and Hunter Wright contributed a 34-yard scoring run and two-point converison.

Josh Cook had a 42-yard TD, while he and Levi Cook each had a two-point conversion.

Trap Hill hosts Beckley-Stratton at 6 p.m. next Thursday.
