ROUNDUP: Jennings has huge game in 15-0 Cavaliers win


Greenbrier West 15, Summers County 0

CHARMCO — Jared Jennings had a game for the ages to lead the surging Greenbrier West Cavaliers past Summers County 15-0 in five innings Thursday.

Jennings pitched a four-hit shutout and also smacked two home runs and drove home six runs to lead the Cavaliers.

Dustin Yoakum added three hits and three RBIs, while Austin Ransom and Mikey Goddard each had three hits and one RBI. Jordan Robinson collected two hits and one RBI and Justin Harless drove in two runs for West.

Erik Lindsey, Austin Cook, Jacob LIvely and Trevor Anderson had one hit each for the Bobcats.

Greenbrier West (7-10) travels to Richwood today.

South Charleston 3, Shady Spring 1 (12 innings)

South Charleston (11-8) scored two runs in the top of the 12th inning to defeat the host Shady Spring Tigers Thursday in a pitchers duel.

The Black Eagles pitchers combined for 16 strikeouts and allowed three hits, while the Shady Spring hurlers tallied 14 strikeouts and allowed four hits.

Antonio Brown had a double and Brandon Knapper had a run and a RBI for South Charleston.

Brian Schack led the Tigers with two hits including a double.

Shady Spring (8-10) travels to Summers County Saturday.
