ROUNDUP: Shady girls knock off Cabell Midland 4-2

ONA — The Shady Spring Lady Tigers doubled up the Cabell Midland Lady Knights 4-2 Thursday for their second win of the young season.

The Thompson sisters, Lindsey and Hannah each had one goal apiece along with one goal, each from Bri Beville and Lauren Solock.

Cabell Midland goals were netted by Cintry Thompson and Emily Smith.

Shady Spring (2-2) travels to Greenbrier East Thursday.

Oak Hill 4, James Monroe 2

LINDSIDE — Two freshmen made their varsity debuts memorable as Oak Hill opened its season with a victory.

Freshmen Lilly Hines and Miranda Jones had shots to find the back of the net, as did senior Haley McDowell and junior Lindsey Jordan

Lainey Large was credited with an assist on the McDowell goal.

Oak Hill keeper Brianna O’Valle chalked up 13 saves.
