Girls: Westside 89, Independence 16

CLEAR FORK — Class AA No. 1 Westside placed five players in double figures and opened up sectional play with a convincing win over Independence Tuesday.

Megan Endicott led the Lady Renegades with 17 points, while Danielle Brown and Faith Davis added 14 points apiece. Brown also had seven assists and eight steals.

Kristin Hash and Hope Lester scored 10 points apiece and Lester grabbed 11 rebounds for Westside.

Kelsey Hart led the Lady Patriots with seven points.

Westside (21-1) hosts Summers County Thursday for the Region 3, Section1 championship.



Independence (8-15)

Krista Harris 0 3-4 3, Krista Greene 1 0-2 3, Emily Fedukovich 1 0-0 3, Kelsey Hart 3 1-2 7. Totals: 5 4-8 16.
