The Patriots improved to 4-16 on the season with a victory over Montcalm in its final regular season game.
Cody Collins led the way with 20 points, while Tyler McKinney had 15. Senior Shane Greco had 11 rebounds.
Montcalm’s Darvis Brodessor had 15 points.
Independence will play Liberty Friday night in the play-in game of the sectional tournament. That game will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Westside.
