QUINCY — With Class A No. 7 Greater Beckley Christian up 41-40 in the fourth quarter, Riverside closed the game on a 19-4 run to knock off the upset-minded Crusaders.

Tyus Wood led the Warriors with 18 points, while Marcus Reed and Tamar Lawson added 13 points apiece.

Keith Mullins led the Crusaders with a game-high 21 points.

Greater Beckley Christian (11-3) plays Thursday in the WVCAT in Summersville.

CLENDENIN — The Nicholas County Grizzlies overcame a sluggish third quarter outscoring Herbert Hoover 19-11 in the final period for a come from behind road victory Tuesday.

Jared Tharp led all scorers with 22 points and six assists for the Grizzlies and Cody McClung added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Cody Morris led Herbert Hoover with 14.

Nicholas County (12-7) travels to Sissonville next Tuesday.

HICO — Rickie Carter had a double-double to lead Midland Trail past county rival Meadow Bridge Tuesday. Carter finished with 11 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.

Tyler Skaggs added 12 points and Jake Grimmett had 11 points for the Patriots.

Cody White led Meadow Bridge with nine points and Logan Pomeroy had eight points.
