BECKLEY — WVHIT boys schedule

The West Virginia Hometown Invitational Tournament is slated to conclude today in Summersville. Action starts at 9 a.m. and will culminate with the 7:30 p.m. championship game.

The lineup is as follows:

-- 9 a.m. — Valley-Wetzel vs. Fayetteville for 15th place;

-- 10:30 a.m. — Doddridge vs. Man for 13th place;

-- Noon — Cameron vs. Sherman for 11th place;

-- 1:30 p.m. — East Hardy vs. Midland Trail for ninth place;

-- 3 p.m. — South Harrison vs. Richwood for seventh place;

-- 4:30 p.m. — Tygarts Valley vs. Greenbrier West for fifth place;

-- 6 p.m. — Clay-Battelle vs. Valley-Buffalo loser for third place; and

-- 7:30 p.m. — St. Marys vs. Valley-Buffalo winner for first place.

Summers County 59, PikeView 55


HINTON — Sophomore Avery Pivont scored 23 points as Summers County avenged an earlier loss to the Panthers.

Tyra Wynes added 10 points, eight assists and four steals for the Lady Bobcats, who improved to 13-5. They’ll host Charleston Catholic at 7:30 p.m. today as part of a boys-girls doubleader.

Hope Nester scored 21 points and Madison May had nine for PikeView (8-10).

Summers won the JV game 33-29 behind seven points from Brenna Davis.

Westside 97, Oak Hill 6

OAK HILL — Morgan Spolarich scored 18 points to lead the defending Class AA state champions.

Mackenzie Endicott added 12 points and Hope Lester and Megan Endicott had 10 apiece for the 17-1 Lady Renegades. Mackenzie Endicott also had 13 rebounds.

Caeleah Teel scored four points for winless Oak Hill.

Westside will host Independence Tuesday.
