Boys basketball: Midland Trail 65, Meadow Bridge 57

MEADOW BRIDGE — The Midland Trail Patriots outscored county rival Meadow Bridge 19-5 in the third quarter to erase an eight-point halftime deficit and grab their fourth win in a row.

Senior Jake Grimmett led the Patriots with 21 points, while Rickie Carter tallied 17 points and Tyler Skaggs 14.

The Wildcats were led by Cody White and Logan Pomeroy with 16 points apiece and Cole Porter scored 12.

Meadow Bridge (3-6) hosts Fayetteville Thursday. Midland Trail hosts Nicholas County tonight.
