Veteran Wyoming East coach Ron Mayhew has been selected as a Division II Regional Coach of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches of America and Diamond Sports Company.
Mayhew coached baseball at Pineville High School from 1974-97 before the school merged with Mullens into Wyoming East the followiong season. He led the Warriors to the 2012 Class AA state championship and the runner-up spot in 2011.
