SUMMERSVILLE —
Greenbrier West defeated Kentucky power Johnson Central 36-34 to win the West Virginia Army National Guard Duals Wrestling Tournament in Summersville on Saturday.
Johnson Central was the three-time defending champion of the tournament. Greenbrier West is only the second West Virginia team to win it, joining Herbert Hoover in 2009.
Johnson Central was second, followed by Lakeside (Ohio), Grundy, Va., Clay County and Shady Spring.
Wrestling in a consolation pool and finishing seventh through 12th were Independence, Keyser, Morgantown, Calhoun County, Braxton County and Lewis County.

Chase Connor scored 25 points as the Tigers defeated Liberty in the final of the Shady Spring Holiday Tournament.
Liberty was led by Levi Cook, who had 27 points and 12 rebounds.
Liberty plays Oak Hill on Tuesday at Liberty. Shady Spring will welcome in Oak Hill on Wednesday.

Independence (1-5) was paced by Shane Greco (19), Cody Collins (16) and Demonte Hill (10).
PikeView (2-4) will host Independence in a rematch Tuesday.

DUNMORE — In a game that featured eight ties and 12 lead changes, it was fitting a buzzer-beater decided the outcome.
Bobbie McNabb moved through the Tucker County defense late and scored the game-winner with 1.6 seconds on the clock to lift Pocahontas County to a thrilling win.
McNabb finished with 10 points and eight rebounds, while Melissa Murphy added nine points for the Lady Warriors. Heather Snead grabbed 10 rebounds in the win.
Amber Evans led Tucker County with 16 points.
