GARDNER — Juwan Rowe scored 17 points and Chase Connor added 16 points to lead Shady Spring past PikeView 64-44 Friday.

Corey Snyder added 10 points and Jordan Meadows scored nine, while Jacob Buckland grabbed 12 rebounds for the Tigers.

PikeView was led by Jason Weitzel with 13 points.

Shady Spring (3-4) hosts Liberty tonight.

Liberty 65, Independence 50

The Liberty Raiders jumped out to a 15-point first-quarter lead and cruised past county rival Independence in Glen Daniel.

Levi Cook and Trevor McGhee each had a double-double to lead the Raiders. Cook had 22 points and 14 rebounds, while McGhee had 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Austin Lyons added 11 points for the Raiders.

Shane Greco led the Patriots with 13 points and Bill Sargent added 12.

Liberty plays Shady Spring tonight in the championship game of the Shady Spring holiday tournament, while Independence plays PikeView in the consolation game.

OAK HILL — The Bluefield Beavers rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to edge past Oak Hill.

Lykel Collier led the Beavers with 18 points, while Michael Yost added 11 and Corey Coppola scored 10.

Deon Marion led the Red Devils with 12 points and Kadrin Goodman scored 11.

Oak Hill (2-4) travels to Liberty Tuesday.
