Liberty 13, Richwood 3 (5 innings)

Liberty exploded for 10 first inning runs to roll past Richwood Tuesday in Glen Daniel. Matthew Bailey led the Raiders with three hits, including two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Austin Lyons added a double, two RBIs and scored two runs, while Joey Lacek had a double, two RBIs and scored three times for LIberty.

Phoenix Evans led the Lumberjacks with two RBIs.

Liberty (9-1) plays Thursday at Summers County.

WELCH — Wyoming East scored 11 runs in the top of the third in a 15-3 victory over winless Mt. View.

Austin Canada had a pair of singles and three runs while winning pitcher Christian Hedinger also have four RBIs.

Brian Vullaneuva and Maurice Brown each had a hit for the Golden Knights.

Wyoming East will host Mingo Central this evening while Mt. View will also be in the county taking on Westside.

Greenbrier East scored seven runs in the top of the 9th to defeat Independence 11-4 in nine innings.

Ethan Boone picked up the victory, throwing six strikeouts and allowing 1 run in six innings. Indy’s Brad Huffman gave up 7 runs in the loss.

Spartan Josh Zeboskey went 3-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs.

Independence’s Brad Huffman was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs.
