Liberty pounded out 10 hits and held off a late Wyoming East (0-2) rally to defeat the defending state champions Wednesday in Glen Daniel 9-8.
Matthew Bailey led the Raiders with a double and two RBI, while Seth Prince added a double and an RBI.
Joey Lacek scored three times for Liberty and Jake Lacek had two RBI.
Austin Canada and Zach Whitten had two hits apiece for Wyoming East.

RICHWOOD — Junior Trey Phares surrendered just one hit and struck out 12 Lumberjacks to lead the Pirates to a 20-0 home victory Wednesday.
Jake Cogar had two hits for Fayetteville, while Troy Farrell and Tyler McKinney each had a double in the win.
Aaron Krise scored three times for the Pirates.
Mike Campbell had the lone hit for Richwood.

CLEAR FORK — Brian Sexton scattered four hits and struck out seven batters to lead the Patriots past Westside in the season opener.
Wyatt Adkins had two triples and scored four times, while Drew D’Angelo banged out two doubles for the Patriots.
Brad Huffman and Jeremy McGinnis each had a double in the win for Independence.
Trevor Anderson had a double for the Renegades.

Ashley Gilkerson and Kaitlyn Sisler had one hit apiece for the Lady Pirates.
