Class AA No. 3 Nicholas County jumped out to a 31-13 first half lead and rolled past Poca in the Region 4, Section 1 semi-finals Wednesday.
Shealyn Shafer led the Lady Grizzlies with a double-double scoring 23 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Nicole Hamilton added 10 points, while Lauren Young had eight points and eight assists for Nicholas County.
Nicholas County (18-3) plays Class AA No. 5 Clay County for the sectional championship Friday at Poca High School.

Meadow Bridge 61, Fayetteville 58
FAYETTEVILLE — Logan Pomeroy hit five 3-point baskets, scoring 20 points and Cody White added 19 to lead the Meadow Bridge Wildcats past Fayetteville Wednesday.
Caleb Farr chipped in 11 points and Cole Porter had nine points for the Wildcats.
Tyler McVey led all scorers with 24 points, including six 3-point baskets for the Pirates. Zach Semple added 20 points for Fayetteville.
Fayetteville and Meadow Bridge open sectional play Monday. Fayetteville travels to Midland Trail and Meadow bridge travels to Richwood.

Shady Spring 70, Richwood 65
The Shady Spring Tigers, playing without leading scorer Chase Connor due to an ankle injury, raced out to a 37-18 halftime lead and held off a late Richwood rally to defeat the Lumberjacks on senior night.
Corey Snyder led the Tigers with 18 points, Steven Chhabra had 12 points, while Jordan Meadows and Jacob Buckland added 10 points apiece.
John Bard led all scorers with 31points for Richwood and Zach Bennett added 11 points.
Shady Spring (13-9) hosts Oak Hill in the opening round of sectional play Monday.
