Boys: Webster County 69, Shady Spring 64

UPPER GLADE — Brett Morris scorched the nets for 39 points to lead Class AA No. 8 Webster County past Class AAA Shady Spring Tuesday.

Dalton Davis added 14 points and freshman Robbie Cogar chipped in eight points for the Highlanders.

The Tigers led at the half and were up by one point midway through the third quarter when leading scorer Chase Connor left the game with an ankle injury. Shady Spring responded with a burst to stretch the lead to 48-41, only to see the Highlanders close on an 8-0 run and go on to win.

Connor finished with 14 points and Jordan Meadows had 13 points. Tyler Bonds and Juwan Rowe scored 10 apiece for the Tigers.

Shady Spring (12-9) hosts Richwood for Senior Night tonight. Webster County (16-3) hosts Midland Trail Thursday for Senior Night.
