Roundup: Brown scores 1,000th point in Fayetteville win

Fayetteville senior Jessica Brown scored her 1,000th career point as the Pirates disposed of Montcalm.

Brown finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Erica Hogan also had 12 boards and Kaitlyn Sissler scored 10 points.

The Generals got 12 points from Leslie Kelley.

Fayetteville (4-0) visits Greenbrier West at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Madison Syner scored 20 points for Trail. Kennedy Cochran had 10 rebounds.

Westside place five players in double figures to roll past Independence Tuesday in Coal City.

Justin Cogar scored 20 points and Levi Lambert added 19 for the Renegades, while Jason Scarlett chipped in 12, Justin Kenneda 12 and Corey Bowles 10.

Tyler McKinney led the Patriots with 17 points and Drew D’Angelo added 12 points.

Cody Collins added 10 for Independence, while Shane Greco score 10 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and had eight blocks.
