NEW RICHMOND — Ryan Snodgress struck out four in a complete game three-hitter as Shady Spring defeated Class AA No. 5 Wyoming East.

Brian Schack homered and Jordan Meadows went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs.

Christian Hedinger drove in a run and had a double for the Warriors (8-2), who visit Mount View at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

The Tigers (5-6) visit Ripley at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

MADISON — Independence split a two-game series Saturday in Madison, defeating the host Scott Skyhawks 13-1 and losing to the Ravenswood Red Devils 3-1.

Against Scott, Andrue Hughart came up big, picking up the victory while going 2-4 with 3 RBIs.  Wyatt Adkins was 2-4 for 2 RBI, while Brad Huffman, Dean Milam and Tanner Muovich all knocked in runs.

Ravenswood pitcher Jesse Brown got the best of the Patriots, holding the normally hot offensive team to only three hits.

Ryan Brandstetter went 2-3, while Chris Mills was 1-3 with the Patriots only RBI.

Ravenswood’s Issac Crow went 2-3 with a run.
