Unbeaten Oak Hill downs Buckhannon-Upshur 23-10

Prep Football Roundup

BUCKHANNON — The Red Devils potent offense sputtered a little Friday, but had enough juice to defeat Buckhannon-Upshur and remain undefeated on the season.

Jalen Jones, hampered by an ankle injury, kicked a 25-yard field goal and scored on a one-yard run to give Oak Hill the lead early, 9-0.

Seth Cutwright answered with a 48-yard run to close the gap to 9-7, only to see Oak Hill’s Jarrell Green score on a 72-yard run for a 15-7 halftime lead.

The Red Devils defense would bend in the second half, but refused to break allowing only a field goal before K.K. Goodman scored on a two-yard for the Oak Hill win.

Oak Hill (4-0) travels to Shady Spring next Friday.
