Oak Hill 5, Independence 4

OAK HILL — The Oak Hill Lady Red Devils rallied from four runs down by scoring five runs in the final two innings to defeat Independence.

Tiffany Workman drilled a double in the bottom of the seventh inning to send the winning run to the plate for Oak Hill.

Tempest Bickford had three hits, including a double, while Morgan Harrah and Laura Bragg had two hits apiece.

Ciera Workman fanned eight Patriots and gave up just two hits to get the win.

Oak Hill (2-3) hosts Shady Spring today.

Sam Pauley gave up just five runs total from the mound and picked up both wins as Liberty swept a doubleheader from Woodrow Wilson in Glen Daniel.

In the first game, the Lady Raiders exploded for 14 hits. Andrea Roles collected three hits, Stephanie Griffith had two hits and Pauley added in double in the win.

Game 2 saw Liberty take advantage of five Woodrow errors and the strong pitching of Pauley to capture the win.

Morgan Drennen led the Lady Raiders with two hits.

Jahnae McDowell collected two hits to lead Woodrow Wilson.

Liberty (2-6) hosts James Monroe Wednesday.
