Roundup: Tigers get 2nd consecutive win


Shady Spring 6, Oak Hill 4

SHADY SPRING — Shady exploded for four runs in the fourth inning and rolled to the win.

Adam Carr led the Tigers with a double and two RBIs. Winning pitcher Franklin Buckner also doubled, and Jacob Childers drove in two runs.

Ray Sullivan homered and had two RBIs for Oak Hill. Ricky Epplerly chipped in two hits.

Shady Spring, 2-6 and winner of its last two contests, hosts Summers County at 6:30 p.m. today.

BLUEFIELD — Derek Thornton surrendered just one run, smacked a double and drove in a run to lead Wyoming East past Bluefield Thursday.

Christian Hedinger added two hits, including a double and also drove in a run for the Warriors.

Justin Mariotti had two hits for Bluefield.

Wyoming East (8-3) travels to River View today.

CLEAR FORK — Demetrius Duff pitched a shut-out, scattering just five hits to lead River View past Westside Thursday.

Tyler Roberts hit a double, scored twice and drove in one run and Austin Walker had two hits to lead the Raiders.

Breyer Morgan led Westside with two hits.

Westside hosts Oak Hill today.
