Greenbrier East 10, Valley 5

SMITHERS — Greenbrier East scored five runs in the sevent inning for a 10-5 victory over Valley.

Jacob Frantz went 2-4 with a double and home run while Colby Johnson was 1-1 with a triple and three RBI.

Valley’s Cody Winter was 1-3 with a three-run home run.

Greenbrier East is now 2-0 and will play in Florida on Monday.

OAK HILL — Christian Hedinger got the win and had two hits in Wyoming East’s 5-3 victory over Oak Hill.

Zach Whitten went 2-2 with a double, RBI and two stolen bases while Chase Presley was 2-4 with a pair of RBIs.

Oak Hill’s Austin Nolan went 3-4 with a double, triple and RBI in the effort.

Wyoming East will take on Nicholas County and Greenbrier West Wednesday in the Spring Break Wood Bat Classic.

SETH — Sherman’s John Hunter went 4-5, hitting for the cycle and driving in three runs in a 10-8 victory over Westside.

The Tide scored 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to put the Renegades away.

Westside’s Tyler Copley was 2-4 with a home run and 3 RBIs and Trevor Anderson went 3-4 with an RBIs and two stolen bases.

Westside (0-3) will participate in the Spring Break Wood Bat Classic this week and will take on Woodrow Wilson at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
