Josh Martin scored 19 second-half points to break open a tie game and lead Class A No. 10 Greenbrier West past Midland Trail in the opening round of the Southern Division of the Hometown Invitational Tournament.
Martin finished with a double-double, scoring 25 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.
Colby Ennis chipped in 14 points for the Cavaliers.
Jake Grimmett led the Patriots with 21 points.
Greenbrier West (8-2) plays Moorefield at 7:25 p.m. today in the Big Atlantic Classic.
