Roundup: Flying Eagles suffer third consecutive loss

SMITHERS — The lethal combination of senior Alexis Payne and sophomore Abby Buchan pushed the undefeated Lady Greyhounds past Sherman Thursday.

Payne poured in 34 points and Buchan added 28 points in the win.

Kelsey Bird chipped in 13 points for the Lady Greyhounds.

Sarah Massey led Sherman with 22 points.

Valley (8-0) travels to Herbert Hoover Saturday.

CHARMCO — Rachel Redden and Kristen Harris scored 16 points apiece to lead the Greenbrier West Lady Cavaliers past Midland Trail Thursday.

Emily Holliday added six points for Greenbrier West.

Kennedy Cochran led the Lady Patriots with 11 points, while Marissa Workman and Madison Syner scored 10 points apiece.

Greenbrier West (2-6) travels to Meadow Bridge Jan. 18.

Abby Watson scored 21 points for Hurricane.
