Oak Hill 13, Fayetteville 3 (5 innings)

OAK HILL — Oak Hill overcame a slow start and pounded out 13 runs in two innings to defeat Fayetteville 13-3 in five innings Saturday.

Daniel Pritt led the Red Devil offensive onslaught with four hits, including a double and four RBIs. Ray Sullivan was 3-for-3 with a single, a double and a triple, and he drove in a pair of runs.

Oak Hill (5-8) will host Nicholas County Monday at 5 p.m.

ST. ALBANS — George Washington scored ten runs in the bottom of the fourth to help the Patriots defeat Independence 19-9.

GW’s Garrett Vogelbach hit two home runs, knocking in six and stealing two bags. Tanner Sorrels had a triple, a homer run and seven RBIs.

Indy’s Wyatt Adkins went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs.

CHARMCO — Greenbrier West made a combined 11 errors and surrendered late leads in losses to Nicholas County and PikeView.

The Cavaliers led the Grizzlies 5-4 in the sixth but could not hold on. Nicholas got a pair of doubles from Drew Moore, while Peyton Nowak was 3-for-5.

West was led by Mikey Goddard with a double and two runs batted in, while Chase McClung also had a double and scored twice.

The Cavs committed seven errors in a loss to PikeView in a game they led 9-6 going into the sixth. The Panthers scored eight runs over the final two innings.

Jared Jennings was 3-for-4 with a home run, double and four RBIs to lead West (7-7), which will host James Monroe at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

South’s Dylan Weaver went 2-for-3 with three RBIs in the victory.

Indy’s Brian Sexton gave up eight hits in five innings in the loss.

ST. ALBANS — Andrew Hughart pitched four innings striking out four batters to give Independence an 11-6 victory over St. Albans on Friday night.

FAYETTEVILLE — Fayetteville committed four errors in a three-inning loss to PikeView.

Later in the day, the Pirates defeated Independence 4-3 in eight innings. Kelsey Norris, Kayla Workman and Cassidy Bays each had two hits for Fayetteville.

The Pirates (7-8) play at Valley at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
