BECKLEY —
A Beckley man is on the run after escaping from the Raleigh County home confinement program, officer Bill Garaffa said.
On Tuesday afternoon, Garaffa arrived at the Hoover Street residence where Robert Harmon, 46, who was originally charged with forgery and uttering, had been living. He said when he arrived at the residence, Harmon was sitting outside in a vehicle. Once Harmon spotted the officer, he drove off while Garaffa tried to tail him.
Harmon was last seen driving on South Fayette Street in a burgundy 2010 Dodge Caliber. He is not considered to be armed or dangerous, but officials are asking anyone with any information regarding Harmon or his whereabouts to call the Beckley Police Department at 304-256-1708.
