The Rhodell Volunteer Fire Department will hold a hot dog sale Friday to raise money to help a fellow firefighter who lost his home during a Feb. 2 structure fire.
The sale will begin at 10 a.m. and will last until the hot dogs, $1.25 each, are gone.
The fire department is also accepting monetary donations to help their comrade in need.
Nathan Shrewsbury, who has been a Rhodell Volunteer firefighter for five years, has been released from the hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation and is staying at the fire house until he can get back on his feet.
Talking about having his fellow firefighters respond to his house last weekend, Shrewsbury said, “It feels pretty good to have people you can trust and depend on like this.”
