Authorities are searching for three suspects in a robbery that left two Monroe County residents hospitalized.
Monroe County Sheriff Mike Gravely said deputies are searching for three people who injured two people during an alleged robbery Wednesday evening in Union.
“They were masked individuals,” Gravely said. “They did brandish a small pistol during the robbery. At this time, we haven’t released any information about what — if anything — has been taken. The investigation is still ongoing as we speak.”
Sheriff’s deputies and troopers with the West Virginia State Police Union detachment were called to the residence at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday where they discovered Debra Worrell, 58, of Bozoo, and Tanner Moore, 19, of Peterstown, had been injured during a robbery.
Both Worrell and Moore were transported to Princeton Community Hospital. Gravely said neither victim had life-threatening injuries. Gravely said Worrell remains at Princeton Community Hospital, but Moore was treated and released.
Gravely said anyone with any information on the incident should contact the Monroe County 911 center at 304-772-3912.
